CleanStart consists of a 14-day colon cleanse. The colon cleansing program contains 28 daily drink packets and 28 daily capsule packets. According to their website, CleanStart was designed to offer you the following benefits:

• Supports the natural, everyday cleansing of toxic waste from the body.
• Works without posing dangerous side effects.
• Improves energy and promotes a feeling of well-being.
• Helps protect the body from disease.

However, the product contains Cascara Sagrada, which should not be used for longer than 1-2 weeks at a time. The effective herbs for colon cleansing in the packets that are not poured directly into a drink do contain capsules, an effective means to deliver the herbs to the body. However, the capsules are made of a gelatin, which is made from the boiled bones, skins and tendons of animals.
The website is especially concise about the product purpose and usage and provides no proof of its effectiveness in the form of testimonials. It fails to clearly explain its notices about Cascara Sagrada, Buckthorn and Turkey Rhubarb and how to use the product when advising the consumer to “Drink plenty of water throughout the day”.

It’s nice to see that the company uses Stevia instead of sugar in its fiber supplement, however, they have also chosen to add bentonite, which has no proven safety record.
